Week 5 Blog Post - midterm

 While doing the midterm, one problem I faced was choosing which websites to compare. I thought very hard about this for days. I had a list of sites to choose from such as, Robinhood and Webull, kick and twitch, YouTube and dailymotion. I ended up choosing YouTube and Dailymotion because I have used YouTube for over 12 years and now I myself am a Youtuber. I also see massive flaws with dailymotion. If dailymotion fixed those flaws i have no doubt in my mind it could become way bigger and take market share from YouTube.

There were also other problems I faced while doing the midterm such as creating an account for Dailymotion and how much daily motion has changed since the past. Now that I look at daily motion it seems like they aren't even trying to compete with YouTube anymore they are competing with Tiktok more. I believe this to be true because of how their home page. Their homepage in the past showed videos that you can click on to view, but now on their home page it auto plays videos which is sort like Tiktok. They are Essentially giving you videos to watch rather than you choosing. I think this is bad because I would rather choose. Those were just some problems I face, But I overcame them with some time.

Week 7 Blog Post- final project

I currently am taking 3 classes and working my job as a youtuber everyday. My job requires me to playing 8 hours of a video game and streaming everyday and creating videos for that game every single day. The videos take a really long time to make because I have to brain storm the video ideas and spend hours playing the game to get the content then I have to edit the content which takes another few hours. Since I have to do all this work I can only work on my final project only 2 hours a day for the past week. My time management skills is the reason why I can even finish this final project. I have been looking at the Mercer website right now and analyzing it. Tomorrow I'm going to be creating a PowerPoint presentation for the website to help improve the page.

Week 4 - The Design of Everyday Things"

 I was born in India and I lived there for 6 years of my life and one thing that I have noticed is how crowded trains are in India. For example trains in India are so crowded that people literally sit on top of the moving train just so they can travel. I believe this to be a massive design flaw of the train. I believe if trains can eliminate first class cabins and replace them with normal cabin this will solve the problem of not enough being seats on trains. Another way this issue can be solved is by simply having more cabins and making the train longer this can easily be done but for some reason countries don't do this.

Week 2 Blog Post

 Website design is one of the most important factors in user experience. From personal experience if I see a website that looks horrible or is too complex I stop using it off the bat, and I believe most people are like this. People prefer simple sleek looking websites which is why websites like Amazon, Apple, and Facebook have the same simple design for their websites. It's because those websites work and people love it because of how simple they are. If I create a website I will make sure it has a very simple and clean design because of those reasons.
